The University offers on-Grounds housing for guests attending Finals Weekend. Guests will stay in the new residence halls located in the Alderman Road Residence Area. These air-conditioned hall-style accommodations include shared common area and bathrooms (gender specific). Each guest will receive a linen packet containing one set of sheets, one pillow, one washcloth, and one towel. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided in the lobby of the residence halls for guests staying on grounds. Rooms are not equipped with hangers, iron or ironing board, hair dryers, or lamps (overhead lighting only). Reservations must be made by the graduating student. The city of Charlottesville is located in Central Virginia, just two hours south of Washington, D.C. and one hour northwest of Richmond, VA. Charlottesville has a regional airport, Amtrak rail service, and Greyhound bus service. UVA is easily accessible from Interstate 64, Route 29, and Route 250.

During Finals Weekend, food stands, Newcomb Hall - Pavilion XI Food Court, Observatory Hill Dining Hall, and University Bookstore - Einstein Bros. Bagels will be opened for dining on-Grounds.
