Degree candidates gather at designated assembly points near the Rotunda for the Academic Procession.

10 a.m.

Faculty assemble at the Rotunda (southwest terrace) for the Academic Procession.

10 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Academic Procession and Final Exercises, The Lawn
Keynote Speaker: Ray Mabus, U.S. Secretary of the Navy
Tickets are required for seating. Tickets are not required for standing room only on the north end of the Lawn.

The ceremony will be streamed live on the web and broadcast in climate-controlled auditoriums on the Grounds.

Following Final Exercises

Diplomas are distributed at ceremonies for the individual schools and departments (Arts & Sciences and Engineering) following Final Exercises. Please check the diploma ceremony locations page for specific start times and locations under all weather plans.
