School & Department Graduation Ceremonies Locations

Final Exercises for the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, School of Education and Human Development, and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. on the Lawn. 

Final Exercises for all other schools will be on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. on the Lawn. School and department graduation ceremonies are held in the afternoon following Final Exercises to recognize graduates individually for their academic accomplishments. Graduates will be presented with ceremonial scrolls, and the school or department will present various awards. 

The Ph.D. degree in Nursing is awarded through the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, however, the candidates for Ph.D. in Nursing will participate in the School of Nursing ceremony on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
